Opened in 2001 and its acknowledged as the pre-eminent museum in the world dealing with 20th century South Africa.

Today people of all races can mix in anything they do at work, in sports, in hotels, in tours etc.

During the apartheid era whites, blacks, Indians, Chinese etc. could not mix in anything they did.
